Deep Dish Dungeon

Deep Dish Dungeon Keys

Three keys and two smelter costs

The demo has a Small Key, an Iron Key, and a Prison Key. Jaguar-key molds are not a fourth key. The smelter obstacle note covers a general key mold, a paw-key mold, and three Jaguar-key molds beside a Big Smelter in level two.

The demo smelter asks for at least 5 Coal and 10 Scrap Metal. The regular key mold in the opening hours takes 5 coal and 8 scrap metal. Both figures are real costs from different moments in the game. They are not the same bill.

Which door each key opens

Small Key is the common door key in the demo. Seven level-two doors use it: wooden doors, cell doors, and a prison door. The key is in the build, and the demo does not show the room where it is lying, so you can tell which doors it fits and not where it is lying. An older route made for demo v0.242 marks a Small Key at 1:08. That timestamp is for the old demo, not for v1013.

Iron Key fits one placed prison door, and the demo includes a scene placement for that key. Prison Key fits one placed cell door, and the demo includes that key without showing where it lies. Those two links do not give a required order. The same old route marks Iron Key at 3:48, Prison Key at 5:32, and a prison-door unlock at 6:48. Treat those minutes as a v0.242 sketch, then check the doors in your own v1013 or 1.0 run.

Jaguar-key molds are not a fourth key. Five mold placements sit in level two: one general key mold, one paw-key mold, and three Jaguar-key molds. A Big Smelter sits with them. If you are hunting a door rather than a mold, start with Small Key, Iron Key, and Prison Key. If you are hunting a craft, stay on the smelter bill below.

Coal and scrap at the smelter

The demo smelter asks for a minimum of 5 Coal and 10 Scrap Metal. A February 2026 player, from before demo v1013, spent the same pair at a smeltery: 10 Scrap Metal and 5 Coal. The opening hours give a different regular key mold, with 5 coal in the bottom and 8 scrap metal in the top. Both numbers are in play. They are not interchangeable. Carry the higher scrap count if you only want one trip, and read the mold you are facing before you spend the stack.

Goo piles in the demo scene can hold Clay, Iron Rod, Stick, Rock, or Scrap Metal. Rock piles can hold Rock or Scrap Metal. That nearby scrap is what you dig for if a pile will give it up. Coal is a separate stack. How the smelter runs, the mold order, and the path up to the machine still need a look in the current build. The February and June accounts come from before or beside demo v1013, build 23712006, so a 1.0 door may not match a v0.242 minute mark.

Cuica is not one of the three keys. The demo includes a Cuica and a Cuica Temple Door that asks for a Cuica tool. The demo does not show where either one sits. Red bars are a Hammer question. Webs are a Torch question from a February report, after the Prison Key step. Roots did not clear for a Torch in a June report. Those tools are on the obstacles page with the doors. Bring Coal, Scrap Metal, and the key that matches the door icon, then cook or craft only after the door is open.
